Adado is relatively new coffee growing Kebele from most if not all Yirgacheffe area. Previously, Adado was known for its cattles as highland cattles are regarded to be very good in taste. In recent times, coffee was planted and it happened to have good taste due to the variety but also highland. Coffee in Adado is well-picked with almost no unripe cherries and is majorly collected to the washing station directly from farmers by motorcycles as well as horses/donkeys.
Adado station is named after the sub-district which our station is located in. The station has around 210 african drying beds and collects cherries from more than 700 farmers. Both Natural and Washed are produced in this washing station with more washed produced due to the higher demand. Coffee is generally pulped, fermented for 48-72 hours then washed before being dried for 6-9 days.
